The Escape Puzzle idea

Make every gem swap open the next part of the escape route

Escape Puzzle is a goal-driven match-3 rescue game. Swap two adjacent gems to align three or more of the same color, clear the matched pieces, and let the board settle into new combinations.

Instead of chasing a generic score, each level asks you to remove a specific obstacle from the king's route. Falling boulders, permanent screw clears, snake chases, locked chambers, and larger-chain power-ups make the position of every swap matter.

The objective matters more than the score

A large match in the wrong corner may do nothing for the rescue, while a simple three-gem clear beneath the obstacle can move the whole level forward.

Castle rescue

Match gems to open the king's route

  1. Read the level objective. Identify whether the board asks you to clear rocks or screws, open a chamber, or survive a closing hazard.
  2. Swap adjacent gems. Tap neighboring pieces to exchange them and create a line of three or more matching colors.
  3. Shape the falling board. Clear the correct column so stones and gems settle into positions that open the king's route.
  4. Build and save power-ups. Create larger chain reactions and use their row, column, or hazard effects when the level objective needs them most.

Good to know

Every match opens the escape

  • The game uses portrait tap controls for adjacent gem swaps.
  • Cleared screws remain removed, so early matches permanently change the route.
  • Objectives can involve boulders, screws, snakes, and locked chambers.
  • Larger combinations unlock power-ups that affect rows, columns, or hazards.

Escape Puzzle guide

Match under the objective, not the score

Begin every board by locating the obstacle, then work backward through the columns that can affect it. Build combinations near the rescue route instead of matching wherever the board looks busiest.

Match under the objective

Clear the columns that support rocks or block the route so gravity creates useful movement instead of an isolated score combo.

Use permanent clears efficiently

Once a screw lane is open, redirect new matches toward the remaining closed sections rather than spending moves in cleared space.

Save power-ups for pressure

Keep strong row and column effects for snake chases or timed escapes where a normal three-gem match may be too slow.
